In the beginning MADE defined its program as a series of infrastructural elements ( tables, chairs, walls for hanging artwork, cupboards, shelves, storage, lounge, bar, kitchen, etc) that should be provided for the person that works at MADE.
Since the different scenarios should be kept as flexible as possible, the idea of configuring and defining different zones and scenarios was developed through the introduction of a series of flexible walls and furniture that could function as room dividers, as scenic backgrounds or simply just providing background for art / exhibition setup, or office, meeting, presentation, or event setup – all dependent on the subjective and ever changing use of MADE.
THINGS ARE MADE
THE SUPERWALL (hard scape; boxes, shelves, cupboards, tables, chairs, walls).THE PANGÄA (soft scape; lounge furniture, low tables, the bar). THE LIGHT (dependent on the configuration and array of furniture and walls the light ceiling grid holds 225 individual lights that can be programmed according to the needs of the user via dmx. This light has specifically been developed by Alexis Dornier and Füllner&Partner. Read more about the construction of this light with its components, gadgets and use here. All construction and carpentry was made through and with the help of ‘spot-on.‘
