Alexis Dornier is interested in developing ideas that involve products, architecture and design. He has been working at OMA/ Rem Koolhaas, later REX and ASYMPTOTE in New York throughout 2005, 2006 and 2007. Alexis Dornier studied architecture at the Berlin University of the Arts and the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and graduated with his ‘POOL‘ project in 2009. He believes that the atmospheric success of an object is based on its functional origin. He lives and works in berlin for his design studio [M] AD. was founded in July 2008 in order to have a platform to operate in various scales and interventions with a professional setup. In July 2009 the office moved to Linienstraße 196 in berlin mitte.
